The Story Behind the Lens
The first camera I picked up was my sister's. When I was a child, we shared a room and I loved going through her treasures instead of napping. One day I came across her 80's plastic film camera and was instantly intrigued. I distinctly remember trying to figure out how it worked and therefore ended up taking an entire roll of closeups of my nose and eyes.
That was the beginning and the intrigue still remains, but now it's shifted from the camera to the people in front of it. The connections, the relationships, the emotion that is captured in a photograph can be so powerful and that is what drives me. I love being able to create something that withstands the test of time.
